Mermaid at Griffith Park

We were at the Griffith Observatory recently and this is my attempt at life drawing. I guess I should not be snacking while drawing from life. Things get distorted.

It's been almost a year since we went to Kyoto. This is a page from my sketch book during our stay in Kyoto. We were sitting in Kameyama Koen Park after we just hiked up the monkey mountain in Arashiyama. Yes, mountain full of monkeys. It was fun seeing them running wild in the beautiful autumn back drop.

For a dollar I bought this little bag of sweet potato to feed the monkeys. I tried to buy a bag of chestnut instead of potato, but the lady refused to sell it to me because the monkeys had had too much chestnut and were sick of it. At least that was what I could gather from our conversation through sign language.

There were quite a few middle school kids on a field trip. They came by to interview Ryan with questions like "where are you from?" and "where are you going next?" We tried to hold conversation with them but they just giggled a lot and ran away.

Missy and Justin

Missy is our APM, assistant production manager. But I like to think of her more like our den mother. We have 3 APMs at our production and Missy is on my team. Her boyfriend, Justin, has an awesome unique look. So we draw them for fun and as our christmas gift to Missy and Justin. Merry Christmas!

Project Runway used to be on Wednesday. I found myself excited to watch new episode this morning, then realized they moved to Lifetime and it's not even on until tomorrow night!

Smart Cars Make Me Giggle

There are a lot of Smart Cars in LA...and for some reason, every time I see one drive by, I giggle a little. Don't get me wrong...they're great for the environment and they conserve space, but I just find their design slightly humorous. Maybe it's cuz I know I'd never be able to crunch my giant body into one.
